I found yoga during a transition period in my life as my children were leaving the nest. My young adult daughters encouraged me to go to a yoga practice with them and I never looked back. Yoga has given me breath, mindfulness and a new lens through which to see the world. I am passionate about the lessons that I learn on my mat that carry over off my mat. I am eager to share this yoga journey with others.
I completed the 200YTT through the Satya School of Yoga and 300TYY through Wellness in Motion. I have taught at a variety of studios, community recreation programs and within the university setting in both the campus recreation setting and for health and wellness academic credits. I am passionate about introducing new people to yoga. I look forward to practicing with you and sharing this journey together.

My family and I moved to the island 6 years ago. I was dared to take a yoga class by a one of my husbands friend. Of course, I took the challenge, but did not realize how much my world would change! I loved to run, bike, swim and basically do any physical activity outdoors. I used yoga as part of my training in a marathon last fall. I have always been inspired by the Jiva teachers, and I thought it would be a nice challenge to become an instructor.
I graduated the 200 hr teacher training July 2012. My life has become more balanced and focused & I am so excited to share my enthusiasm in any class.
